Cure Hunger with Oz Harvest

OzHarvest (www.ozharvest.org) is a for-impact organisation with a driving purpose to Nourish Our Country.

It began with a simple concept to rescue excess food from restaurants, hotels, retailers, food outlets, supermarkets and corporate kitchens and deliver it to charities that feed the disadvantaged, homeless, youth, people-in-crisis and vulnerable Australians.

Now operating a fleet of 40 vans across the country including Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Gold Coast and Perth. To date, over 75 million meals have been delivered to people in need and saved 22,000 tonnes of good food from landfill.

Each week OzHarvest rescues over 100 tonnes of quality surplus food from more than 3,000 food donors, delivering it directly to more than 1000 charities that feed people in need.

Cure animals with World Animal Protection

World Animal Protection (www.worldanimalprotection.org.au) has a beautiful vision of a world where animal welfare matters and animal cruelty has ended.

Why? Because animals have a right to live free from pain.

How? By tackling cruelty and suffering worldwide.

Today they’re working on projects worldwide – helping governments and communities to protect and care for their animals.

Thanks to their wonderful supporters, they’ve already changed the lives of millions of animals for the better. All over the world they're bringing positive change to mistreated and abused animals in the wild, in farming, in communities and caught up in disasters.

Cure the environment with Australian Conservation Foundation

The Australian Conservation Foundation (www.acf.org.au) community is more than 450,000 people who speak out, show up and act for a world where forests, rivers, people and wildlife thrive. They are proudly independent, non-partisan and funded by donations from the community.

They are growing a powerful movement to drive real change and hold our decision-makers to account. They work with community leaders, social movements, Indigenous people, economists, businesses, governments and people everywhere who care and are willing to act.

They are dismantling the old story that people and nature must be in conflict. They are creating a new story – a story of connection. In this story, they value the whole web of life and the incredible diversity of life on Earth.

They stand with the nation’s Traditional Owners to care for country.
